Serving the Eeyou Istchee region with local lumber products is a priority for our mill, as we work hard to reduce the critical housing shortage through improved access to building materials.
Cree Lumber is a limited partnership purposely created by and for the Cree community of Waswanipi formed as a collaboration between the Mishtuk Corporation and Chantiers Chibougamau. Cree Lumber is also benefiting from investments from the Cree Nation government, Natural Resources Canada, Investissement Québec, and from Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions.
